Our environmentally-oriented approach to designing and constructing buildings lies at the heart of the KLIMA studio—it is the source code for all our work. We are guided by the Passiv Haus philosophy, aiming to make homes that are resilient, sustainable, and ecologically grounded. Formally, our work is inspired by founder Chris Price’s commitment to a clear and legible architectural language that brings together solid and void, opaque and transparent, cool and warm. We tend to work on mountain houses of various scales and locations, creating a connection to nature in urban contexts and a sense of sophisticated culture in rural ones. Our work seeks integration between ground and shelter, landscape and home.
